James Cox Campaign Buttons

James Cox Campaign Buttons

James Cox Campaign Buttons. Welcome to the James Cox campaign buttons section on campaignbuttons-etc. Ohio Governor James Cox was the 1920 Democratic Party presidential nominee. While Cox is one of the more obscure 20th century major party presidential nominees he did have the distinction of having Franklin D. Roosevelt as he vice presidential running mate. For a campaign slogan in 1920, Cox would use "Peace. Progress. Prosperity." Roosevelt would later go on to be elected president in 1932. Cox lost the 1920 November election to Warren Harding.
