August 21 , 2020 - The third time was the charm for Joe Biden last night as be accepted the Democratic presidential nomination and delivered a speech from Wilmington , Delaware. Biden first sought the Democratic nomination in 1988 and again in 2008. Finally in 2020 , the Democrats choose him as their nominee.

During his speech Biden said "its time for - we the people - to come together. And make no mistake , united we can and will overcome this season of darkness in America." In addition Biden stated " Love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more  powerful than fear , and light is more powerful than dark. This is our moment. This is our mission."

With traditional campaigning virtually non - existent , the next big date for Biden will be when he  meets President Donald Trump at the first presidential debate scheduled for September 29 , 2020 in Cleveland , Ohio.
