New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Wins Re-Election

Chris Christie Campaign ButtonNovember 5, 2013 – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie cruised to re-election tonight with 60% of the vote to his opponents Barbara Buono’s 38 percent.  Governor Christie gave his victory speech to a standing room only crowd of supporters at the historic Asbury Park Convention Hall.  With an apparent prelude to an expected 2016 White House run Christie said “I know that if we can do this in Trenton, New Jersey, maybe the folks in Washington, D.C., should tune in to their TVs right now.”

While Chris Christie campaign buttons were scarce at the Asbury Park event, staffers were scene wearing the three inch pictured here. This Christie campaign button features the famous logo of Asbury Park that has adorned post cards of the famed resort for decades.

Some well known rock stars have launched their careers from the bars and clubs of Asbury Park. On this night a political rock star named Chris Christie may have just launched a campaign that will take him all the way to the White House in 2016.

Christie Calls On Voters To Turn Out At Bridgewater Rally

November 2, 2013 – At an early morning rally outside his Bridgewater headquarters, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called on a crowd of 200 supporters to not only help re-elect him but also give him a Republican legislature.  Many in the crowd holding signs and some wearing Chris Christie campaign buttons, cheered the Garden State Governor. After the rally, Governor Christie got back on his campaign bus and headed to the Rutgers football game for more campaigning.

November 1, 2013: A new poll out today shows New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie leading his Democratic Party Challenger State Senator Barbara Buono by 19 points, 59 for Christie to 40 for Buono.  The election is set for Tuesday November 5, 2013.

October 31, 2013 - The New Jersey Governor’s race headed toward its final weekend as Democrat State Senator Barbara Buono and Republican Governor Chris Christie traveled around the state in search of votes. Senator Buono was scheduled to appear at Montclair State University and also conduct a series of radio interviews. Governor Christie would be in the southern end of the state and make appearances at the Gloucester County Republican Headquarters as well as the Cape May County Republican Headquarters.

New Jersey Has a New U.S. Senator

October 31, 2013 - Newark New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker became the Garden States newest United States Senator when he was sworn in today by Vice President Joe Biden. Later Senator Booker was scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama at the White House. With addition the of Senator Booker, there are now 55 Democrats in the Senate to 45 Republicans.
